The fifth final season, The Bold Type, deserves a proper farewell and celebration. So when Freeform was asked for a collaboration episode with Glam Lab, I couldn’t resist!

It’s a show in a fashion magazine, so looks are also important. From designer brands to vintage accessories, ball gowns, and Carson Kressley!
I spoke to this season’s costume designer, Mandy Line, who shattered the inspiration behind the final season’s fashion.
“It’s a fuss! They’re all regaining the best we are now,” Mandy said.
It took another fashion expert to really recreate the looks in the right way. Style director Blair Walsh Rent a runwayIt was like a fashion angel sent from heaven.
Based on Mandy’s notes and a few photos, she duplicated each look with access to more than 700 brands on Rent The Runway.
“I know all the designers and all the styles in the field, so I can think of it right away,” Blair says.
We went on a 4-day rental-there’s also an 8-day rental and subscription package-and rebuilt Scarlett’s fashion closet in the middle of my apartment.
Then it’s time to put on our flashy ball gowns and board the subway to recreate the iconic first scene of “The Bold Type!”!
