Intro To Fashion Design For Youth | Coronado Island News

Tracey Herriot of Clicbitz will present a free introduction to fashion design for teens on Thursday, Jan. 13 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Winn Room at the Coronado Public Library. The workshop is open to youth ages 11-17.

Teens will learn to upcycle denim to complete their own custom bell bottoms or jean jacket. They will learn how to use a sewing machine, sew a straight stitch, sew on patches, and do their own fashion drawings.

Participants should bring an old pair of jeans or a cheap pair from the thrift store. Alternatively, they can bring a denim piece of clothing (skirt, shorts) or choose from a selection of provided jean jackets.

Class size is limited to 12, so registration is required. Register at cplevents.org.
