Celtic moved into the quarter-finals of the Scottish Women’s Cup with a 2-1 win over Rangers.

Clarissa Larisey squeezed in the opening goal at the Penny Cars Stadium, with a header from Demi Vance drawing Rangers level before half-time.

Chloe Craig restored Celtic’s lead when she bundled in at the back post from a corner on 74 minutes.

Celtic won the SWPL Cup in December, beating Rangers along the way to lift their first silverware since 2010.

Rangers top the SWPL1 standings, unbeaten in 15 league matches, with Celtic seven points adrift in third, having played a game more.

Elsewhere, Aberdeen scored twice in time-added-on to beat fellow SWPL 1 side Spartans to reach the last-eight.

Donna Paterson and Francesca Ogilvie scored in the first half for Aberdeen, with Kat Smart and Rebecca Galbraith netting for the visitors.

The game was headed for extra-time only for Eilidh Shore and Bayley Hutchison to put the Dons through.

SWPL 2 leaders Dundee United fell to a late goal away to Hearts.

Erin Rennie had given Hearts the lead, Jade McLaren had drawn United level, but with 15 minutes to go, Jenny Smith’s strike edged the top-flight side through.

Holders Glasgow City were comfortable 4-0 winners over Hamilton Academical, with Priscilla Chinchilla, Kerry Beattie, Jenna Clark and Lauren Davidson all on the scoresheet.

Kilmarnock are also through to the last eight following a 2-0 win away to Montrose. Lisa Swanson and Mhairi Crooks were on target for the visitors.

Hibernian were 12-0 winners over Gartcair, with Amy Gallacher and Michaela McAlonie both netting hat-tricks.

Rebecca McGowan’s extra-time goal gave Partick Thistle victory over Boroughmuir Thistle.

Cara McBrearty’s second-half penalty had been cancelled out by Broughmuir’s Shannon Todd before the home side prevailed.

Stirling University against Falkirk was postponed with one of the sides unable to field a team and a new date for that game not yet decided.

The draw for the quarter-finals take place at 12:00 GMT on Monday.
