ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill died at the age of 72.
The hit maker of “Gimi All Your Ravin” was forced to withdraw from many shows across the United States after suffering a back injury just a few weeks ago, and Dusty on Wednesday (28.07.21). It was confirmed that he died during his sleep at his home in Houston, Texas.
Bandmates Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard confirmed the sad news in a statement:
“We, with an army of ZZ Top fans around the world, miss our lasting commitment to provide your solid presence, your good personality, and its monumental bottom to the’top’.

The cause of Dusty’s death has not yet been identified and it is unknown whether it is associated with hip damage.
The band announced a few weeks ago that a veteran bassist would withdraw from ZZ Top’s gig, but said the show would continue without him “at Dusty’s request.”
