Jessica Simpson has a new man in her life following her split from Eric Johnson.
Us Weekly confirmed in April 2026 that the “Irresistible” singer is dating a Nashville-based musician named Thomas Eisenhood.
The romance comes more than one year after Simpson announced her split from Johnson in January 2025.
“Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,” she told Us in a statement at the time. “Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”
Simpson and Johnson share daughters Maxwell Drew, born in May 2012, and Birdie Mae, born in March 2019, and son Ace Knute, born in June 2013. The exes tied the knot in 2014.

What Is Thomas Eisenhood’s Job?
Thomas Eisenhood is a musician with “varied experience” in music production and operations, according to his LinkedIn. He graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.S. in Psychology in 2015. He began his career in entertainment as a media assistant in college before landing a job in venue operations at The Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans from 2015 to 2017.
Eisenhood has also worked as an IT technician, graphic designer, stage hand, live sound engineer and networking assistant. He currently works as a freelancer in event productions and operations.
Thomas Eisenhood Was in a Band Called Stoop Kids
Thomas Eisenhood is a former member of the New Orleans-based alternative rock band Stoop Kids. He played baritone saxophone with the group from 2012 to 2023, when Stoop Kids announced an indefinite hiatus.
“There’s no easy or correct way to say this, but it’s possible that these next two shows in Philly and New York this weekend will be the last two Stoop Kids shows ever, and at the very least, the last shows in our current form,” the group announced via Instagram in October 2023. “This is very difficult to even type out on my phone, let alone fully accept as a reality, but there are still many more thoughts and emotions to sift through going forward, and still many question marks for what the future may hold.”
The announcement continued, “For now, we are focusing all our energy in to these last shows so please, if you’re in the northeast, we would absolutely love to see you. I don’t want to sound all hopeless and defeated, so let’s come together and celebrate together and enjoy it! We wouldn’t want to trade a second of any of it and, no matter what, this weekend will be one for the books! ♥️.”
