White & Case has expanded its global debt finance practice in Madrid with the addition of a lawyer from Herbert Smith Freehills
JaimeĀ Rossi, who has since 2020 acted as of counsel at HSF andĀ advises on financing deals spanning acquisition and real estate to restructuring and syndicated lending, joins the firm as a partner, according to White & Caseās announcement. Before his time at HSF, Rossi worked at Fieldfisher, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Garrigues, where he began his legal career.
The hire follows the addition of M&A MadridĀ partner Javier Monzón, who joined the firm earlier this summer after 16 years at Freshfields. At the time of Monzónās hire in June, executive committee member and London leader Oliver Brettle said that the move āsends a clear message to the market that we are investing in Madrid for the long haulā.
