Over a decade after James Cameron first introduced viewers to the world Avatar, folks are returning to Pandora in Avatar: The Way of Water. Set 15 years later, the highly anticipated film welcomes familiar faces, new characters and even surprise actors who have previously worked with James (Sigourney Weaver from Alien and Kate Winslet from Titanic).
Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña return as Jake Sully and Neytiri, who are now the leaders of the Omaticaya Clan. Their responsibilities also include raising their children on Pandora. While the couple has made a peaceful life for themselves, it doesn’t last as long as they had hoped. When an old threat resurfaces in an attempt to exploit the planet again, the family must leave their home to create bonds with members of other clans. As they build alliances, Sully and Neytiri work to stay together while fighting off what might just jeopardize their world.

But, seeing as the 2022 films Thor: Love and Thunder and Lightyear both ended up on Disney+ within three months of their cinematic debuts, we can assume the same will happen for this movie. With this in mind, you’ll probably be able to start watching it the beginning of March 2023.
