One of the top offensive linemen from the Class of 2022 will make his commitment live Monday on CBS Sports HQ at 1 p.m. ET as Addison Nichols will pick from a list of finalists that includes Ohio State, Tennessee and North Carolina. Nichols, a four-star prospect, is ranked as the No. 3 interior offensive lineman and No. 107 overall player in the class by the 247Sports Composite.
While Tennessee is considered the favorite, according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, Nichols also visited Ohio State, Florida, USC and Georgia in June and took an unofficial visit to North Carolina. The 6-foot-5, 318-pound Atlanta-area prospect projects as a guard at the college level, but was regarded as a tackle prospect until recently and could potentially play either position at the next level.
Nichols’ 2019 highlight reel from Greater Atlanta Christian School shows a player nimble enough to get downfield to take on linebackers and safeties in the run game. He also comes from a strong high school program that has amassed a 24-3 record over the past two seasons.
