One of the top uncommitted linebackers in the 2023 recruiting class will make his verbal pledge live Wednesday on CBS Sports HQ. Raylen Wilson, a four-star linebacker out of Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida, will make his choice at 3 p.m. ET. You can watch the announcement live in the video at the top of this page, on the CBS Sports App or via your connected device (Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV).Â
Michigan and Georgia — two teams set to face off in the College Football Playoff — rank as Wilson’s finalists heading into decision day. Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines are considered the favorite to land Wilson, according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball projections.Â
Listed at 6-foot-2 and 213 pounds, the junior has the physical tools to be a difference-maker for either elite defense he joins when he graduates high school in 2023. Wilson ranks as the No. 6 linebacker and No. 74 overall player in the 2023 Class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. The Top247 rankings are even higher on Wilson’s potential, rating him the No. 4 linebacker in the nation.Â
Wilson would be a headlining addition for Michigan’s 2023 class as its first top-100 member. While it’s still early, his addition would push Michigan’s recruiting class into the top 10.Â
The son of former NFL wide receiver Robert Wilson, Raylen posted 139 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and five sacks in a breakout sophomore season for Lincoln.Â
