Volusia County Budget Director Aaron Van Kleeck has been promoted to the position of deputy director of the county’s Finance Department.
He will continue to serve as budget director while also filling his new role, according to a news release.
The Volusia County Council unanimously confirmed Van Kleeck’s new appointment at a recent meeting.
Van Kleeck has worked for the county government for 19 years and has been budget director since October 2020.
Van Kleeck, a lifetime Volusia County resident, started working for the county as a supervisor in the Road and Bridge Division in 2003, then worked for the Parks, Recreation and Culture Division before transferring into the budget office in January 2016.
