To the editor:
Clean up the surfaces of existing tennis courts and make pickle ball courts. Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the U.S. It would be a shame to get rid of the courts along Lake Flower Avenue or anywhere. It is possible to put four pickleball courts on the two tennis courts. Both pickleball and tennis could be played on the same surface. Portable pickleball nets and additional painted lines for pickleball would be needed. Pickleball is a sport enjoyed by all ages. Pickleball is easy to learn and is a great form of exercise. Both community members and visitors to Saranac Lake would enjoy pickleball courts.
