Universal Does Some Movie Shuffling, Bumps Wolf Man to 2025

Universal’s been teasing a new modern take on The Wolf Man from Invisible Man and Upgrade’s Leigh Whannell for a while now. Though it seemed like we’d get to see it in theaters in a couple of months, it’s now been pushed back.

That’s not the only horror movie getting moved around. Universal opted to yank The Woman in the Yard from its January 10, 2025 date and off its schedule entirely. A reason for its removal wasn’t given, and it’s equally unclear what the film is actually about; all that’s known is that it’s directed by Black Adam’s Jaume Collet-Serra with Danielle Deadwyler (Till) in the lead role.

Even with these two delays, Universal’s still got some horror up its sleeve for 2024. Along with Abigail on April 19, it’s releasing the James McAvoy-led remake of Speak No Evil on September 13, followed by Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu (starring Bill Skårsgard and Lily Rose-Depp) on Christmas Day.
