here’s overwhelming evidence to suggest that the celebs’ mission for last week was to shake things up in interesting ways, particularly on the beauty scene. For one, this 2023, how often have we been blessed with the sight of Queen Bey in a high-top bun or Jourdan Dunn embodying delightful Barbie charm? Perhaps, this is a cue that the second half of the year will require beauty-conscious babes to ditch the regular and experiment with trends they’re not so familiar with. The celebs have spoken; who are we to complain?

We tend to think that as a woman grows older, she’s required to hang her slay-boots but that hasn’t been the case with Mary J. Blige. The music legend certainly gives no heed to wagging tongues that say she can’t bring the heat even at 52. Last week, she reminded us why she’s IT in a sultry face beat featuring heavy smokey eyes and witchy lashes. She balanced the heavy eyes with well-lined nude lips that added even more appeal to her look. The smokey eyes take is one of the beauty trends celebs are embracing this season, especially with the Indie Sleaze wave.
Elsewhere, Keke Palmer continued her baddie season with a downright alluring look. While the star girl has never been boring, we can all agree that motherhood has unleashed a new excitement in the actress. And for that, we’re grateful. The self-named Big Boss brought the shimmer with metallic eyeshadow complemented with black options and sealed the deal with understated lips. If you’re going to shake this up, this is the way to do it.

Since the kick-off of her Rennaisance tour, Beyoncé hasn’t hit the breaks, and she didn’t attempt that last week. She favored a high-top bun punctuated with loose hair at the sides that emphasized her facial features. By the looks of things, it appears that this hairdo will be one of the beauty trends for celebs in the coming months. Better add it to your to-do list.
