I love a good pair of jeans every once in a while, but I’d be lying if I said I don’t look forward to the second I’ll be able to undo the top button. This is especially true when dining out with friends or sitting at a coffee shop. A size up and they slide down, but a size down and they squeeze my midsection like a boa constrictor.
Finding an alternative to jeans — something I can wear with blouses, long-sleeve tops, sweaters and tank tops alike — has been a big-time challenge, made harder by my preference for a put-together look.
