The NPR Politics Podcast is coming to Houston and Atlanta.

September 9, 2022; Washington, D.C. – After a two-year hiatus, The NPR Politics Podcast is headed back to the stage with live shows in Houston and Atlanta. On September 15, in partnership with Houston Public Media, Houston’s Zilkha Hall will host an all-star lineup including Ashley Lopez, Asma Khalid, Domenico Montanaro, Susan Davis and Tamara Keith. Then on October 20, Khalid, Davis, and Keith will be joined by Mara Liasson, Miles Parks, and special guests GPB’s Stephen Fowler and WABE’s Rahul Bali at Atlanta’s Buckhead Theatre. This event will be in partnership with GPB, WABE, and WCLK Jazz. Both panels will discuss local and national midterm races, the state’s political news and issues, and what each panelist just cannot let go of.

“The entire Politics Podcast team has been looking forward to getting back to live shows after such a long time away and to reconnect with our audiences in person to talk about politics,” said Muthoni Muturi, the show’s executive producer.

“The Politics Podcast is an anchor to the NPR events portfolio,” said Jessica Goldstein, Senior Director & Executive Producer of Events and Experiential Programming. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with NPR Member stations in Houston and Atlanta to bring these shows to new and devoted audiences.”
