HBO Max has set the exclusive debut date for A24’s The Drama starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson.
The film, written and directed by Kristoffer Borgliwill, will make its streaming debut exclusively on HBO Max in the U.S. on Friday, July 31. The film will debut on HBO linear on Saturday, August 1 at 8 p.m. ET.
In addition to Zendaya and Pattinson, The Drama stars Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie and Hailey Benton Gates.
The synopsis: “A happily engaged couple is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails.”
In his review of the film, Deadline’s Pete Hammond called The Drama a “brilliantly constructed and fascinating journey,” and describes the intriguing premise as four friends who “engage in what turns out to be a very dangerous game when the question is asked of each, “what is the worst thing you have ever done.”
The Drama is produced by Lars Knudsen, p.g.a., Ari Aster, and Tyler Campellone, p.g.a.
