How far can you go to get what you want?
It’s reasonable that we all want to stand head and shoulders above others in whatever art we indulge in but how far should a stylist go to attain that feat? Even though many people stood against his style of fashion Arnold Putra claimed what he did was simply to promote his work.
Arnold Putra is a very rich Fashion designer from Indonesia and he is very proud of his work. Along with the passion to innovate new designs every day in clothing, Arnold visits tribes all over the world to allegedly learn about their culture. But this man here wants something more than just learning other people’s ways of life.
Arnold Putra made controversial headlines several weeks ago after he bragged about his then newest design. Even though there are millions of beautiful materials out there Arnold chooses to use the spine of a child for his handbag along with a tongue of an alligator. The image above has faced criticism all over the internet, and Arnold Putra has equally shared the same fate.
Like I said Arnold Putra is not willing to learn about the lives of people around the world especially in Africa he is interested in the unique things they can offer him in exchange for fake beauty products of his creativity. He is most interested in human bones, so he could shape them into beautiful designs to quench his thirst for ultimate beauty products. What’s more, he even brags about this on social media.
In addition to the devilish handbag made out of a child’s spine, Arnold has also added a jacket whose buttons were made of human teeth, gloves designed with human fingerbones, jacket lined in the front with rib cage bones.
It’s just an allegation no one is serving terms yet but the evidence is pointing toward Arnold, the Brazilian police were said to have recovered a shipment of a human hand and placentas bound for Singapore, ordered by Arnold Putra himself. This was a raid done on the premises of Amazonas State University (UEA) in Manaus.
Also according to the report released by the police, the organs were recovered from a laboratory of anatomy and they were preserved by a professor of anatomy using the method of plastination.
The university head compiled with the police to begin investigating the professor and those who worked with him. Trafficking of human parts is a great offense in most countries, especially in Brazil which has sentenced many to prison.
As expected, Arnold, through his attorney said that everyone thinks he’s the devil, he said that his creations for the past five years have been his personal projects and has never held the intention to monetize them.
He added that the only outrageous fashion projects he ever produced were the handbag with the child’s spine and one other garment beautified with a human rib cage. He claimed to have purchased these bones from a medical supply in Canada with his license and none of them was taken from any tribe in Asia or beyond.
Arnold then expressed his disappointment in the public for accepting cooked-up facts all in the name of tainting his reputation in Indonesia and other places that perceived value from his art.
