As an American, I’m usually surrounded by people in hoodies, sweatpants, and even their pajamas during my travels. I’ve made some rare exceptions for long-haul flights, but I love to dress comfortably yet chic on the plane, no matter what. During my recent trip abroad, I was very happy to be surrounded by travelers who could inspire me. Everywhere I looked—at train stations, airport lounges, and even boarding gates—people were pulling off stylish, comfortable outfits that made me rethink my entire approach.
Turns out, elevated travel outfits don’t require a full fashion week–level plan—just a few smart pairings and great fabric choices. Comfort is key, and it’s totally achievable while still appearing polished and elevated. Ahead, I’m sharing the travel looks that stood out to me the most and how to re-create them for your next escape.
Cheeky Co-ord
Even if a set is made of literal sweatpant fleece, it will always make you feel more put-together when everything matches. Choose a cheeky co-ord and you’re bound to be happy with your final look.
