Texas Tech guard accused of sexually assaulting minor: lawsuit

Texas Tech guard Pop Isaacs has been accused in a civil lawsuit of sexually assaulting a minor while the Red Raiders were in the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.

Though the age of consent in the Bahamas is 16, the suit says the girl couldn’t consent because she was intoxicated.

Texas Tech released a statement, saying the “matter was immediately and properly reported” to its Title IX Office.

Its investigation found that Isaacs “remains in good standing, and there is no reason to withhold him from university activities, including basketball competition.”

Isaacs, a sophomore guard from Las Vegas, is the team’s leading scorer (15.8 points per game). The Red Raiders are 11-2 and in first place in the Big 12.
