The Houston Texans updated Team Outlook after hiring San Francisco 49ers DC DeMeco Ryans as their new Head Coach. In 2022, Ryans’ defense allowed the league’s fewest points (16.8) and yards (300.6) per game. The 38-year-old will replace Lovie Smith, who was fired after posting a 3-13-1 record in his one season as Texans’ HC. Before coaching, Ryans was a star linebacker for the Texans, receiving two Pro Bowl nods. Ryans’ contract is a six-year deal.
