Temasek Holdings’ wholly-owned investment platform, 65 Equity Partners, has invested 150 million Singapore dollars (US$105.9 million) in Cityneon, a Singapore-based immersive entertainment company.
Cityneon, which is to rebrand itself as Neon, said Wednesday that it will use the funds to expand its business, including tapping into new markets and acquiring new intellectual property.
The company wrapped up a S$235 million fundraising round in April that attracted Citic Capital, Pavilion Capital and Qatar’s Doha Venture Capital, among other investors.
The entertainment provider has partnerships with studios such as Walt Disney Co. and Marvel Entertainment, as well as with the governments of Peru and Egypt.
Credit Suisse advised Cityneon on the deal.
