Texas Tech is slated to host Cal State Fullerton at 7 p.m. on Thursday and UTSA at 7 p.m. on Sunday to complete a four-match homestand.
The Red Raiders (3-0-1), winners of their last two contests, routed Abilene Christian 6-0 last Sunday. The scoring margin means Texas Tech has outscored its opponents by a 9-1 margin through four matches.
TTU has scored eight unanswered goals coming into the weekend. CSU Fullerton (0-3-0) is coming off a 1-0 loss to No. 10 Santa Clara on Sunday after a 3-0 defeat to No. 5 UCLA and a 2-1 season-opening result at San Diego.

The Red Raiders are 2-0 all-time against CSU Fullerton with a 2-1 win in California in 2012 and then a 1-0 win over the Titans in 2013 at home in the last matchup.

Men’s golf
The No. 9-ranked Texas Tech men’s golf team begins its season at The Carmel Cup this weekend at the Pebble Beach Golf Links in California. TTU won the 2019 Carmel Cup team championship by shooting 35-under-par, including a final round of 16-under to run away with the title.
The Red Raiders will be represented in the season-opening tournament by Ludvig Aberg, Kyle Hogan, Garrett Martin, Baard Skogen, Calum Scott and Alejandro Pedryc and come into the year at No. 9 in the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Preseason Poll. Hogan and Aberg are the only players from Texas Tech who were a part of the 2019 tournament champions. TTU is coming off its 19 straight NCAA Tournament appearance where it won the NCAA Albuquerque Regional to advance to the NCAA Championship.
TTU head coach Greg Sands is beginning his 21st season leading the program. He has guided the program to nine NCAA Championship appearances, 19 straight NCAA Regional appearances and 25 tournament wins.
The Pebble Beach Golf Links will play at a par-72, 6,828-yard challenge for the players this weekend. Pairings will be announced later this week and will be posted on Golfstat. Three Red Raiders have won The Carmel Cup individual title with Sandy Scott (2019), Hurly Long (2017) and Fredrik Nilehn (2016) earning the championship.
The 54-hole tournament is scheduled for Friday-Sunday with one round per day.
LCU women’s soccer
The Lady Chaps are scheduled to kickoff the season with a 5 p.m. Thursday match against New Mexico Highlands at the LCU Soccer & Track Complex.
LCU is slated to play the first of three matches this season at home, going 3-1 in those contests last season. If the Lady Chaps claim a victory, it would mark the 100th win for the program which began competition back in 2010.
New Mexico Highlands did not compete in women’s soccer due to the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning the program has not play a game in 668 days.
LCU ended the spring 2021 campaign with a 5-4 mark, including a 3-2 record in conference play.
LCU men’s soccer
The Chaps are set to take on Fort Lewis College in a 4 p.m. Thursday contest at Dirks Field in Durango, Colorado.
Last season, LCU played a nine-match regular season and finished with a 4-5 mark to go along with a 3-5 showing in conference play to finish seventh in the standings.
Fort Lewis advanced to the RMAC Tournament semifinals during the spring 2021 campaign.
