While I’m still reeling from what may have been the most riveting , this week’s editor’s letter is an ode to Benson Flippin’ Boone. I got to catch his tour stop in Los Angeles on Tuesday, and he now easily lands in my top 5 most impressive performers I’ve ever seen live. Sure, his acrobatics are fun — but his vocals, showmanship, and effortless charisma are what’ll keep him a must-see for decades. Taylor Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl”
Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot
Taylor Swift’s hotly anticipated 12th studio album is finally here — and this Showgirl lives up to her megawatt billing, making us laugh, cry, and blush throughout her 12-track show. Walking a bejeweled tightrope balancing kink and camp, love and clapbacks, and career highs and lows has never looked so effortless. With its cheeky lyrics, infectious melodies, and upbeat Max Martin- and Shellback-produced tracks that somehow manage to sound everything and nothing like Swift has done before (an impressive feat so far into such a prolific career), it’s safe to say the only thing on listeners’ lips at curtain call will be: “Encore!” —Lauren Huff, Staff Writer

Time for a most excellent reunion! Bill & Ted stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are back together — in even stranger circumstances than their last collab. Come for the air guitar and stay for the absurdity as they wait for the mysterious Godot at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre. —Shania Russell, News Writer

When children graduate from “Baby Shark,” many find kidfluencers like Piper Rockelle, who stream their entire lives to millions (including many adults). Netflix’s three-part docuseries probes the dark environment Piper’s mom allegedly fostered, all in pursuit of clicks and cash. —P.G.
