The Wheel of Fortune staple and action star were a cute couple in 1988, attending the White House Correspondents Dinner together that April.

The Buffalo News reported that the pair first met at a book convention.

A month later, UPI reported that Stallone, then 42, joked about White, then 31, while chatting up a young fan with cerebral palsy named Anthony Byrge, Jr.

According to the outlet, Stallone compared the inquisitive Byrge’s rapid-fire questions to a Mike Wallace interview and told the 10-year-old, “Don’t take Vanna from me.”

That June, Stallone dropped in on a Chicago Tribune interview with White, in which she was described as “basking” in his visit.
