Studio Tenn announced on Wednesday it has canceled the remainder of its performances of “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” due to breakthrough cases of COVID-19 in the theatre company.
Ticketmaster is issuing refunds for tickets, according to Studio Tenn.
“In an abundance of caution, Studio Tenn Theatre Company prioritizes the health and safety of our cast, crew, team and valued patrons,” the organization said in a news release.
“It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” was supposed to run through Dec. 24 at the Jamison Theater in The Factory at Franklin.
Based on “The Greatest Gift” by Philip Van Doren Stern and adapted by Joe Landry, “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” tells the story of an idealistic man questioning his life on a fateful Christmas Eve night. In a unique twist, the show transports the audience back to Franklin in the 1940s, and the story unfolds with an ensemble of five actors bringing dozens of characters to life.
