SYDNEY–Star Entertainment Ltd.’s chief financial officer and two other executives have resigned, continuing the management exodus at the troubled Australian casino operator.
Star on Friday said it has accepted the resignations of CFO Harry Theodore, Chief Legal and Risk Officer Paula Martin, and Greg Hawkins, its chief casino officer for New South Wales state.
Star said in a release after the market closed that the trio would work with Executive Chairman John O’Neill to transition their responsibilities and that an executive search firm would seek their permanent replacements.
Star Managing Director and Chief Executive Matt Bekier resigned in March amid a Sydney casino license review, which raised concerns over lax money laundering safeguards and junkets, among other things.
Shares in Star closed 2.6% lower at A$3.04, their lowest level since September 2020.
