Sports betting to begin soon at Potawatomi Casino Hotel

Sports betting is about to begin at Potawatomi Casino Hotel. In the coming weeks, the casino will provide guests two sports betting locations, with 17 kiosks between them open 24 hours a day, to place bets on their favorite teams. Construction will soon begin on the permanent sportsbook, which will be located in the northwest corner of the casino, replacing the Northern Lights Theater and the Fire Pit Sports Bar & Grill. “This is a transformational time at Potawatomi Casino Hotel,” said Dominic Ortiz, CEO of Potawatomi Casinos and Hotels. “For more than three decades, we have served as a leader in Tribal gaming. With the addition of sports betting, we’ll be providing our guests with even more options and welcoming new visitors to the property and the Menomonee Valley.”One of the temporary locations will be near the former Fire Pit Sports Bar & Grill. Kiosks will also be found off of the skywalk on the property’s second level. Both locations will provide odds boards. Sports betting guests will also enjoy 20-minute dedicated parking spots in the structure. All bets must be placed on-site.”What we put together is a 120-foot screen with our own broadcast studio on the second level to bring in excitement and soon-to-be announced we’ll say affiliated sports figure for Wisconsin,” Ortiz said about the permanent facility. The move is possible after the Forest County Potawatomi and Gov. Tony Evers’ administration announced a new agreement last year to allow sports betting on its tribal property. The Evers administration has also negotiated similar compacts with several other tribes including the Oneida Nation where sports betting is underway at Oneida Casino just outside of Green Bay.
