Sony has officially announced the Xperia 10 VIII, targeting the global mid-range market. Prioritizing ergonomics and durability, the device maintains features like the 3.5 mm headphone jack and microSD expansion up to 2 TB.

Weighing 168 g with dimensions of 153 x 72 x 8.3 mm, the smartphone introduces a matte translucent back panel. It features Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection alongside dual IP65/IP68 dust and water resistance ratings. Physical controls include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a dedicated camera shutter key, and a Rewards & Pay shortcut via the power button.

The front features a 6.1-inch FHD+ LTPS OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and 50% higher brightness. Front-facing stereo speakers deliver 15% higher volume and 30% stronger bass, supported by Hi-Res Audio, LDAC, and aptX Adaptive.

Under the hood, the device runs on the 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, paired with 8 GB RAM (plus 6 GB virtual RAM) and 128 GB UFS storage. The 5,000 mAh battery supports 30W USB Power Delivery, managed by Xperia Adaptive Charging to extend cell health.

The rear dual-camera setup includes a 50 MP Exmor RS main sensor (f/1.9, OIS/EIS) capturing 12 MP default shots, alongside a 13 MP ultrawide sensor (123° FOV). A 8 MP front camera handles selfies. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and dual SIM (nanoSIM + eSIM).
Launching with Android 16, the phone is slated for four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates through 2032. Available in Frozen White, Frosted Grey, and Misty Lilac, sales begin in late September at €599 (~$650 USD) in Europe and £549 (~$700 USD) in the UK. We still have no official words about a release in the US market.
