Sony has officially confirmed the release date and pricing details for the PlayStation PULSE Elevate, the brand’s first dedicated premium wireless speaker engineered specifically for PlayStation 5 and PC setups.
The primary hardware highlight of the PULSE Elevate is the integration of planar magnetic drivers. Derived from Sony’s acquisition of high-end audio manufacturer Audeze, this studio-grade acoustic architecture is designed to deliver ultra-low distortion, wide dynamic range, and realistic positional audio across gaming and multimedia environments.

To satisfy low-latency demands during gaming, the speaker incorporates proprietary PlayStation Link technology, ensuring a stable, uncompressed wireless connection. Key specifications and functional features include:
- Broad Compatibility: Native, seamless pairing across the PS5 console, the PlayStation Portal remote player, PC, and Mac operating systems.
- Integrated Communication: A built-in microphone array for in-game voice chat without requiring an external headset.
- Charging Solution: Dedicated charging docks to power the internal rechargeable batteries during active or idle desk use.
The PULSE Elevate will carry a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $219.99 in the United States. Official pre-orders open on September 1 at 10:00 AM local time, with the device officially launching on November 12.
Sony will offer the accessory in two distinct finishes with specific retail distribution channels:
- Black Edition: Available broadly at major authorized electronics retailers and online through PlayStation Direct.
- White Edition: Sold exclusively via PlayStation Direct in the US and select Western European territories, matching the default aesthetic of standard PS5 hardware.
Combining audiophile-grade planar drivers with cross-platform ecosystem support, the PULSE Elevate could be a practical option as an all-in-one desktop and console audio solution for users seeking high-fidelity sound without wearing traditional gaming headsets.
