Sofia Richie Grainge opted for her traditional covered-up look while walking the 2025 Met Gala red carpet.
Richie Grainge, 26, attended the star-studded event at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art solo on Monday, May 5. The fashion icon wore a white Tommy Hilfiger gown with dramatic cutouts on the back and giant bow as part of the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme of the night.
Her hair was in a classic slicked-back bun and for accessories, Richie Grainge kept it simple with diamond earrings. Her engagement and wedding ring also took center stage as they glistened on her left hand. In typical Richie Grainge fashion, she also rocked the no-makeup makeup look, which showcased her fresh face.
Monday’s Met Gala had a “Tailored for You” dress code which is a nod to the exhibition’s focus on suiting and menswear. Going to the Met Gala with Tommy Hilfiger makes sense considering Richie Grainge’s recent collaborations with the fashion house. (She’s been a brand ambassador for the brand since June 2024.)

Richie Grainge also launched the Sofia for Tommy capsule collection with the brand earlier this year.
“Tommy is the godfather of Classic American Cool,” she told Vogue ahead of the March launch. “His designs are the perfect canvas for playing with effortless style and building a wardrobe of timeless pieces.”
She added: “I am excited to co-create over the coming years with someone who shares my passion for self-expression, enduring style and originality.”
Monday’s event also marked Richie Grainge’s fourth time at the Met Gala, previously attending in 2015, 2016 and 2017. This was the first time Richie Grainge attended the
event since welcoming daughter Eloise with husband Elliot Grainge nearly one year ago.

Richie Grainge previously spoke about her style evolution during a 2023 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, and Monday’s red carpet look definitely showed how she’s come into her style over the years.
Richie Grainge noted that she loves to go for a classic 1970s and 1980s style.
“The way they expressed themselves and had fun with fashion has been a big source of inspiration for me,” she added.
