“It’s effortless, it’s sexy, it’s ’90s – all the good words,” says its maker 48 hours before the wedding, with Sienna yet to fly in from New York and try it on. Still, Savannah, who has been on a strict wellness journey in the run-up to the London celebration, is not worried: “There’s only a certain number of people who can get away with these looks, and Sienna is one of them.”
Naturally, it fit like a dream. “I really wanted to avoid Sienna looking like a ‘bridesmaid’ or as if she was wearing a wedding dress in a different colour,” notes Savannah of her brand muse. “It’s important to me that clothes feel like a direct reflection of the people who wear them and, ultimately, this couldn’t be more Sienna, so it was a really natural choice.”
While the understatedly elegant Cerise only served to heighten the innate coolness of her little sister, Savannah herself felt like she had been “reborn” from wedding planning – not something every bride can say. “It’s been so liberating,” she shares. “Having complete autonomy to create has reminded me that retaining a unique tone of voice is the most important thing.” Surely that deserved its own happy toast at Petersham.
