Luxury fashion house Balmain introduces its new Stranger Things capsule that celebrates the famed Netflix series. It highlights the 80s theme that is true to the shoe and is led by baggy shirts, hoodies, and tights. It is also detailed with patches that include catchphrases from the shoe and iconic logos.
Olivier Rousteing reflects on the collection, stating “I knew that blending our heritage, French stylings and artisanal skills with Stranger Things’ distinctive look was going to be a perfect blend. I told my team that we were going to create the ideal inventory for a special luxury boutique that could have been set inside the Starcourt Mall from season 3. So, we played with ideas that we’ve shown on our fashion-week runways, as well as favorite looks from the series’ different characters—and then made sure to rely on that expert styling, tailoring and embellishment that one expects from Balmain.”
