Royal Fashion Tributes to Queen Elizabeth

Queen Camilla’s coronation robe was full of hidden symbolism, including a special tribute to Queen Elizabeth. Camilla had several flowers embroidered into the garment, including lily of the valley, which was a treasured favorite of Queen Elizabeth. The bloom is so significant, in fact, it was featured in Queen Elizabeth’s coronation bouquet when she was crowned in 1953.

Along with her Bruce Oldfield gown, Camilla wore one of the most iconic necklaces in royal history. Made for Queen Victoria by Garrard in 1858, it was later worn by Queen Alexandra, Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth I, and Queen Elizabeth II — all on their Coronation days. It is crafted of 25 diamonds and a 22.48-carat pendant called the Lahore Diamond.
