According to Paulette Di Matteo, business officer supervisor, 150 seniors attended, as well as Mayor Brad Stephens and his wife, Suzi.

They dined on roasted pork, mashed potatoes, vegetables, soup and salad and a vanilla souffle dessert or baked apple.

“I gave each senior a lighted snowman. If there was red, shredded paper in their gift bag they won a gift card,” said Di Matteo. “Tony Ocean sang for two hours and everyone danced. It was a nice party.”

Mary Trombino-Tricoci, club secretary, added that Di Matteo awarded the mayor a check she collected from the seniors for the mayor’s chosen charity, Bear Necessities, and money for Helping Hand, that the seniors donated.

“We sang happy birthday to the mayor and there was cake for him. He was awarded his own special chair, so he is now eligible to be in the senior club,” said Trombino-Tricoci.

An announcement was made that there would be no meeting on Dec. 21. Plans for the New Year’s Eve Party on Wednesday, Dec. 28 include food from River’s Cafe. Entertainment includes a four-piece band. There will be a balloon drop and prizes.
