After reading “Portland Classic golf tournament moves to the suburbs citing safety concerns in the city” (June 21): I can only say: Hooray, and congratulations to the Portland City Council! Another major achievement by Mayor Ted Wheeler and his cohorts. By continuing their current policies, with any luck the Timbers and Thorns will soon leave the city. As for the Portland Diamond Project, which hopes to bring Major League Baseball to Portland, yeah, right. Way to go, Portland City Council.
