State for Industry, Hon David Bahati has expressed concern over unmonitored and uncontrolled access and usage of technological devices by children in families today.
“Most parents have neglected their responsibilities of ensuring that children are protected from any sorts of evil that can spiritually and morally distort their behaviors”. Said Bahati.
Bahati says that many children especially in urban areas have been left to access technological devices like phones and televisions where if left unmonitored can get access to demonic materials.
The minister as such called upon parents to always take keen interest in understanding how their children use phones.
He also asked Children to inculcate in themselves a spirit of respect for parents if they are to be successful in future.
Bahati made this on Sunday during the induction of new members in the Fathers Union and the fundraising service at St John’s Kyoonyo Kamuganguzi Church of Uganda in Katuna town council.
Bahati pledged to provide all materials needed to complete the flooring of St John’s Kyoonyo Kamuganguzi Church of Uganda and Ugx 5 million for remaining construction works at the magnificent All Saints Church.
While preaching during the service that was presided over by members of the Fathers Union at All Saints Church of Uganda, Monday Kakye, a member of the union, warned against improper usage of technology saying that has led to many family conflicts.
