San Diego Padres updated Team Outlook after veteran DH Nelson Cruz is DFA’d halfway through his first season with the Padres. Cruz got off to a hot start to the season, but has since slowed down as the slugger turned 43 years old last month. The Padres have been using Matt Carpenter at the DH slot recently as they fight for a wild card birth.
