Re “Group that backs mixing church, state holds rally“ (Oct. 30): I was confused by the reference to “Freedom Revival believes Christian values should play a larger role in society.”
The Christian church that I attend supports abortion rights, opposes gun ownership, welcomes gays and embraces refugees. Yet somehow I do not think these are the values the rally was encouraging.
Perhaps in the future you can specify “conservative Christian values” or something to show that the far-right version is not a defining aspect of the religion.
