Omari Hardwick has worked with some legends — he even has Denzel Washington, Snoop Dogg and Shaquille O’Neal’s numbers saved in his phone — but the Star Trek: Section 31 star says two celebrity interactions in particular have left him starstruck.
“My most starstruck moments were when Jon Voight and I literally bumped into each other and proceeded to give each other a bearhug,” Hardwick, 51, reveals exclusively in his 25 Things You Don’t Know About Me feature in the latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now. “And when Unc Snoop [Dogg] decided to record a song for me for my birthday.”
The actor has also shared some fun moments with his Star Trek: Section 31 costar Michelle Yeoh. (The series is streaming now on Paramount+.)
“My favorite moment in Star Trek: Section 31 was the ballroom scene where [my character] Alok meets Emperor Philippa Georgiou [Yeoh] for the first time because the whole cast was involved,” he tells Us. “Another fun scene that didn’t make the cut was [this] scene between Michelle and I that involved a cake and a face.”

5. My first job was a Spike Lee joint called Sucker Free City, and it was shot in 2003.
6. I have two favorite poems: Maya Angelou’s “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Invictus” by William Ernest Henley.
