Old Navy designer charts a path for success for fashion students – Saratogian

A veteran of the international fashion scene gave insight into how to land a job in the industry during a recent virtual presentation with Capital Region BOCES Global Fashion students. Old Navy Senior Designer Erika Gillam Taliaferro spent an hour with the 13 fashion students, sharing her knowledge, expertise and insight. Students from the class met with the California-based Taliaferro – who has worked for such notable brands as Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Ralph Lauren – via Google Meet and asked her questions on everything from the most difficult aspect of her job to what they need to know to grow in the industry.
