Formula 1 heads to the United States for the second ever edition of the Miami Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen won the inaugural race in 2022 and it’d be no surprise if he successfully defends the win this season. Red Bull has already created separation from the rest of the field, with Verstappen and his team mate, Sergio Perez, standings 27 points clear from the next best driver.
Let’s take a look at the odds to win this week’s race and then I’ll break down my best bet for the event.

F1 Betting Picks: Best bet for the Miami Grand Prix
There is no real value betting on who will win the race. That market has been depleted for the 2023 season. It’s simple. If Max Verstappen doesn’t get penalized or get involved in a crash, he will win. If he does, his teammate, Sergio Perez, will grab the victory.
So, where should we look for the best betting value?
I think it’s time to invest in Charles Leclerc of Ferrari. As a team, they got off to a rough start to the 2023 season, but they seem to be returning to some level of form. Leclerc finished third at last week’s Azerbaijan GP and his teammate, Carlos Sainz Jr., finished fifth.
It’s also important to note that Leclerc had the fastest lap here during qualifying last season and then followed that up with a second place finish.
We’re not going to bet on him to win, but him finishing on the podium again seems like a good bet to make.
I’ll wager on Leclerc finishing in the top 3 at +120.
