Juneteenth Celebration: The Ocala Juneteenth Celebration Commission will host a Juneteenth Celebration on June 19 at Webb Field at E.D. Croskey Center, 1501 W. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, beginning at 10 a.m. Juneteenth is a nationally recognized holiday celebrated across the U.S. to commemorate the abolishment of slavery in the U.S., and is a time for reflection of African-American freedom, emphasizing education and achievements.
