The New York Rangers have had a ton of offensive issues as of late, so I won’t hesitate to take the Penguins as underdogs at MSG.
Over their last 10 games, the Rangers rank just 24th in 5-on-5 venue and score adjusted expected goals for, which tells me they’ve struggled to create scoring opportunities. The Penguins, meanwhile, are second in the NHL in that stat.
This game is pivotal if the Penguins want to get out of being in a wild card spot, and I think they’re the best underdog bet on the boards tonight.
