Biopharmaceutical company Nektar Therapeutics said its operations and finance chief, Gil Labrucherie, is leaving the company for an opportunity at a private biotechnology company.
The company has named longtime accounting executive Jillian Thomsen as its next chief financial officer. She has served as senior vice president of finance and as chief accounting officer of Nektar since 2008, and is a key member of its executive committee, the company said.
Nektar didn’t specify when the transition would take place, nor did it say who would succeed Mr. Labrucherie as operations chief.
“Jill brings a deep understanding of financial strategy and operational excellence to her new role,” Nektar Chief Executive Howard Robin said. “She is a strategic leader that was instrumental in building the Nektar finance organization.”
