Millie Mackintosh felt it was “upset and scary” when her daughter was diagnosed with hip dysplasia.
The “Made in Chelsea” star, with her daughter Siena and her husband Hugo Taylor, looks back on last year since she was diagnosed with a loose hip.
She wrote on Instagram: “A year ago, Siena was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and was put in a public harness. At that time it was very upset and scary. A nice person sent it.”
Millie urged other parents with similar diagnoses to remain positive.
She added: “I was hopeful to see many other babies running around happily after receiving the same treatment, so in case someone else feels like me. I wanted to post a video of this Siena. There is light at the end of the tunnel #hipdysplasiaawareness (sic) “
Meanwhile, Millie previously opened up about the difficulties between motherhood and “juggling” social media when struggling to balance work and family life.
She states: “Recently, I’ve been struggling to balance both motherhood and time spent online. I’m well aware that social media can be seen as a platform that can share unrealistic depictions of people’s lives. But I’m proud of the community it has given me and the opportunities it has brought to me. When used in the right way, it’s an incredibly powerful tool. Life and motherhood I’m very fortunate to have a platform to share my travels while navigating. It’s a great privilege to be able to support other women, and I can’t do this without social media. “
