Daphne Cooper will perform at Saturday’s concert in Daytona Beach.
The Midtown Music Concert Series, sponsored by the City of Daytona Beach, continues on Saturday, Aug. 14, at Daisy Stocking Park with a performance by Daphne Cooper. The show begins at 7 p.m.
Cooper began her musical journey in Orlando while singing in the children’s choir at her church. She became a member of the Jones High School Choir where she cultivated her musical interests.
She later served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer and shared her gift as a member of the Army Entertainment USA Express Top 40 Band.
She embarked upon a one-year international tour, entertaining members of the Armed Forces and their families, Department of Defense employees and distinguished guests from around the world.
The performance is part of the free summer concert series, which will bring the best local bands to the area.
Daisy Stocking Park is located at 550 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Blvd. Food and drink vendors will be onsite. Attendees can bring their own chairs; however, coolers are not allowed.
