CHIPPEWA FALLS (WQOW) – Lauryn Deetz scored 23 points and the McDonell Central Macks girls basketball team took over sole possession of second place in the western Cloverbelt Conference standings with a 51-36 win over the Cadott Hornets on Tuesday.
The Macks are now 5-1 in conference play, trailing only Osseo-Fairchild, which is unbeaten. The Hornets drop to 4-2 in league play.
The teams will meet again in February.
