Throughout his rookie season, Mac Jones has shown that he has sufficient swagger as a quarterback on the field. The New England Patriots quarterback, clad in his No. 10 jersey, looks the part.
Off the field, that’s another matter entirely. When it comes to his postgame fashion causes, teammate Matthew Judon has a grim outlook for his quarterback.
“It’s a lost cause,” Judon said.
It was all smiles after the Patriots beat the pants off the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday to the tune of 50-10. Judon was at the podium, wearing a fashionable (and reversible) jacket with some beautiful natural rock formations on it. Jones, meanwhile, was waiting for his turn at the podium while wearing a sensible black T-shirt with the logo of NOBULL, the shoe company he endorses.
Judon had been asked plenty of times about Jones’ growth as a player. So this time, he was asked about whether he could get the rookie quarterback to get on his level in terms of postgame fashion.

Judon had to be honest, that’s not who his quarterback is. But for as much as the linebacker roasted the rookie’s fashion, Judon said that Mac shouldn’t worry about being anyone other than Mac.
“Mac’s a football player and that’s about it. He’s a great guy, football player, but drip is not him,” Judon said. “Let him do what he do, man. Don’t change the guy. Let him do what he do, man. I just I’m just happy he’s our quarterback. He’s out there balling, having a hell of a season and I’m just happy to be out there playing with him.”
After Sunday’s early games, the Patriots have officially locked up a playoff spot. Jones has come a long way as a rookie quarterback to get New England back to the postseason.
Just don’t expect him to start emulating the fashion of his predecessors (Tom Brady and Cam Newton) any time soon.
