Mark Consuelos reveals why he wants to make elephant noises in bedroom

It was an evening of booming and banging for Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, after a rogue meteor and noisy neighbors created a cacophony of terror for the Live cohosts this week.

The celebrity couple and on-air cohosts began Wednesday’s live show with a reflection on the past day’s events, which included grappling with “a loud boom” that sounded Tuesday morning over New York City, after a meteor reportedly entered the atmosphere over the metropolis.

After Consuelos pondered if “the space cadets” (unclear who he meant, specifically) were aware of the meteor, the duo shifted the conversation to another intrusive noise — this time, right next to their bedroom, as Ripa revealed that their neighbors are currently doing construction on the other side of the wall.

Consuelos mimicked the drilling noise that the couple hears in bed, and proposed a solution.

“I’m like, yeah, should we make some noise and see what those guys say?” he said as the audience applauded the innuendo, before Consuelos began hitting his hand on the desk in front of him. “Yee-haw! I don’t know, spice it up for them?”

“Is that your idea of spicing up? Banging sounds and yee-haw?” Ripa asked, to which Consuelos replied: “Horse noises! I don’t know. Elephant?”

Sensing the absurdity of the situation, Ripa clarified: “None of that happens, for the record.”

The show has long become a hotbed of issues related to noisy neighbors, both for Ripa and Consuelos as well as their guests. The couple recalled in October that they once received a noise complaint from petty neighbors in 1999 after the famous pair threw a kids’ Halloween party.

Later, actress Maura Tierney appeared on Live and revealed that she too, received a profane noise complaint from an anonymous party over loud music she played in her home.
