Marc Jacobs’s New Show Had Something for Everyone

Marc Jacobs wants you to do you. His new runway show on February 9, 2026, which kicked off New York Fashion Week, offered a wide range of outfit ideas to suit nearly any type of dresser. If you live for a night out on the town, for example, you’ll revel in the designer’s leather hot pants (a bit of a misnomer considering they’re closer to underwear than pants). If you’re a more buttoned-up kind of fashion lover, on the other hand, you might gravitate toward the ruffled blouses, posh pencil skirts, and sumptuous outerwear.

“Surfacing on their own, memories shape, influence, and inform,” Jacobs wrote in the show notes. “Recovering the past also reminds us that loss is inevitable and that hope is work. Memories, both bittersweet and beautiful, are a faculty of purpose, influencing current and future actions—who we are, what we create, what we leave behind, and what we carry forward.” In other words, there’s a little something in this collection for everyone, whether your mind is set on conquering your next major goal in life or you feel a bit stuck in the past. Scroll down for my complete breakdown of the collection.

No Hemline Left Behind

If you’ve ever felt like Goldilocks when shopping for skirts—this one’s too short, that one’s too long—you’ll be pleased to learn that Marc Jacobs will approve of your choice no matter where your skirt falls on the spectrum of hemlines. He presented four distinct versions of the exact same skirt: mini, knee-length, midi, and maxi. Pick your poison.
